The Roller

2020 | Packaging design for CERELIA®

The Roller

The roller was designed for "Cerelia", the parent company of "Jan"; a Netherlands based company that specializes in food goods such as pancakes, American pancakes, Dutch pancakes, etc.

“The Roller” consists of 6 individually packed, rolled up pancakes in a tear-off packaging. Through this type of packaging less food waste is expected as each pancake, being packed individually, stays fresh for longer. An appealing promotional storage box was also designed to be used as a container on the fridge. While buying the individually packed pancakes will provide the re-fill option, the box will provide safe and fresh storage in the customer's fridge.

The main purpose of this project is solving the environmental problem of food waste. In addition, the product will be in line with JAN’s fun and practical theme and will hopefully contribute to their sales growth by having a product that increases the desirability through long term use and food freshness.
